Position Overview:



We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mediterranean Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and appreciation for Mediterranean cuisine, including Greek, Italian, Turkish, Moroccan, and Spanish dishes. You will be responsible for creating authentic, flavorful dishes, maintaining high culinary standards, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:



Menu Development:

Create and refine a diverse menu that highlights traditional and contemporary Mediterranean dishes.

Food Preparation:

Prepare and cook high-quality meals, ensuring consistency and excellence in taste and presentation.

Ingredient Sourcing:

Select and use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to maintain authenticity and quality.

Kitchen Management:

Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

Training & Development:

Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff on Mediterranean cooking techniques and recipes.

Quality Control:

Monitor food quality and presentation, conducting regular taste tests and inspections.

Inventory Management:

Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste.

Customer Interaction:

Occasionally interact with guests to receive feedback and discuss menu options.

Event Catering:

Plan and execute catering for special events, ensuring a seamless culinary experience.

Qualifications:



Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a chef, with at least 2 years specializing in Mediterranean cuisine.

Education:

Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.

Skills:

Proficiency in Mediterranean cooking techniques, strong knife skills, and an eye for detail in food presentation.

Leadership:

Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a high-pressure kitchen environment.

Creativity:

Ability to innovate while maintaining the essence of traditional Mediterranean dishes.

Communication:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Flexibility:

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
