Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Research Specialist
The role involves working closely with the US Corporate Banking team and supporting them on credit appraisals, credit memos, credit reports or annual credit reviews for corporate clients. The support would entail tracking portfolio companies and updating quarterly and annual earnings performance, preparing market or sector updates, company research, tracking credit rating reports or equity reports, historical financial analysis, industry / peer analysis and working on credit memos, credit reports or annual review report components that would form part of the Corporate Finance or Capital Market transactions. There would with significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of I&P CIB Corporate Banking business. .
In this role, you will:
Work as an individual contributor on various work streams that form key components of Wells Fargo's Corporate Banking debt financing, F/X and/or Rates products, across sectors
Assist in preparing Credit memos, credit reports or annual reviews for corporate clients including support in drafting company/borrower overviews, business description, industry overviews, corporate actions and in performing historical financial analysis and industry or peer analysis
Work on publishing Quarterly or annual earnings summaries for target portfolio companies and in tracking credit rating reports or equity reports
Prepare market or sector updates, sector newsletters to keep a track of key market developments
Work on borrower rating, capital structure and covenant analysis
Monitor and track covenant compliance
Support in drafting non-borrower reports, Annual credit reviews or CAC Memos
Develop excellent working knowledge of market database tools e.g. Fact set, Thomson one, Capital IQ, Moody's, S&P etc.
Interact with multiple stakeholders to achieve the desired goal
Required Qualifications:
5-8 years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
MBA, CA, CFA or Masters in Finance from a premier education institute
Up to 8 years' experience in Corporate Banking, Credit research or Debt advisory
Experience in working in any of the following sectors preferable: Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, TMT, FIG, Industrials. Energy & Power (preferable)
Strong inclination towards building a career in Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Capital Markets
Good understanding of Credit metrics, Covenants, Capital structure, Financial statement and ratio analysis
Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholders
Strong logical, analytical skills and a systematic problem solving approach
Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Applications - Power Point and Excel
Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to ensure high quality of deliverables
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
Results driven, accountable and ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
