The Work You'll Do
Commercial Account Managers are responsible for working with existing clients and new clients to sell company products including negotiating and closing long-term contracts. This role will be responsible for the sales process from BFRC to Close, while leveraging resources effectively throughout the sales cycle on strategic deals, and articulating the value propositions of Sovos' products and services. This role will work with various departments throughout the company with an emphasis on Sales, Legal and Finance. Additional responsibilities include contract negotiations, updating sales force automation and all other aspects of the prospecting and sales renewals process.
More specifically you will:
Prospect within assigned territory to create leads for new client sales by growing pipeline opportunities
Sell and promote SaaS solutions to new accounts
Develop and execute strategic opportunity plans that ensure quota attainment
Upsell and cross-sell Sovos solutions to customers in existing client base
Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behaviour in all matters with all stakeholders
Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external client satisfaction
Leverage multiple communication methods to engage with prospects and clients
Demonstrate skilled time management and prioritization
Execute effective territory planning strategies
Ask insightful questions to understand needs and uncover opportunities
Act as a role model and mentor across the organization, sharing best practices and messaging
Show willingness to learn from other sales roles, internal business partners, and client experiences
What We Need from You
Proven experience driving sales and managing customer relationships in the South India market
Ability to navigate and manage end-to-end sales cycles
1-3 years' experience in BDR, quota-carrying Sales role or similar; software solution sales preferred
Knowledge of contact management solutions, preferably Salesforce.com
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Business travel may be required to attend client meetings and conferences
Ability to interact effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers
Strong ability to comprehend and communicate complex concepts
Proven capacity to concentrate, analyze and resolve complex problems
Proficiency in utilizing technology (e.g. phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfill work requirements and enable effective communication
Self-motivated to create opportunities for learning experiences
Willingness to learn from Support teams for additional insight on how solutions work
Understanding of product functionality from a Support perspective
