phacoemulsification
(phaco) cataract surgery, using advanced techniques to extract the clouded lens and replace it with an intraocular lens (IOL).
Manage patients pre- and post-operatively, ensuring optimal recovery and vision outcomes.
Diagnose cataract progression and educate patients on their treatment options.
Utilize femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (if applicable) for advanced precision during procedures.
Refractive Surgery:
Perform refractive surgeries like
LASIK

PRK
,
SMILE Pro
, or
ICL
(implantable collamer lens) to correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
Evaluate patients for refractive surgery, including performing pre-operative assessments such as corneal mapping, pachymetry, and visual acuity tests.
Counsel patients on surgical options and expected outcomes.
Manage post-operative care and monitor patients for any complications or side effects.
General Duties:
Collaborate with the eye care team (ophthalmologists, optometrists, technicians) to provide holistic care.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including surgical outcomes, patient progress, and follow-up care.
Participate in research, teaching, and training programs within the department.
Stay updated on the latest techniques, technologies, and treatments in the field of cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery.
Adhere to hospital protocols, safety regulations, and ethical standards.
