Key Responsibilities
1. Project Closeout Management
Initiate project closeout activities at approximately
95% physical or POC progress
to ensure effective and timely closure.
Manage the finalization of outstanding project tasks.
Issue closeout status reports and ensure project closure in
SAP
.
Take full ownership of the project during its end stage.
Prepare and issue the
Final Margin Report
to management.
2. Financial Closure
Verify closure of all financial points, including
bonds, claims, costs, and invoices
.
Perform financial close, confirming
cash inflow/outflow
and ensure recovery of bonds.
Manage
Forex and hedging activities
.
3. Documentation and Archiving
Prepare and initiate documentation archiving, ensuring final versions are stored in the archive repository.
Ensure compliance with document control processes and maintain efficient administration of all project-related documentation.
4. Project Execution (End Stage)
Take handover from the execution project controller and manage financial aspects such as
forecasting, project reviews, bonds, forex, cost tracking, and cost-to-complete analysis
.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the key point of contact for the customer during project closeout, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
Lead closeout meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a
Project Controller
.
Desirable experience in
Project Accounting
.
Proficiency in
SAP S/4HANA
,
FICO
,
SD-PS
, and
MS Office
(advanced Excel skills).
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Postgraduate degree (MBA Finance, CA, ICWA preferred).
Familiarity with project management and financial software.
8-10 years of experience
in a similar role or project accounting within
construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects
.
Skills
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong problem-solving skills and multitasking ability.
Ability to interpret contract and financial conditions.
