Job Title: Contractor - SD-WAN Forwarding Test Automation Engineer Location: India (Hybrid) Contract Type: Contract Team: SD-WAN Forwarding About the Role We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join the SD-WAN Forwarding team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks that validate and optimize SD-WAN forwarding functionality. The ideal candidate will have experience in network test automation, CI/CD integrations, and collaborative development processes. You will work closely with SD-WAN engineering and test teams to deliver high-quality, automated test solutions. Key Responsibilities o Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for SD-WAN forwarding features. o Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to understand forwarding feature requirements and translate them into automation scenarios. o Creation of planned automated tests covering forwarding plane functionality, including policy, path selection, and traffic-based measurements. o Analyze automation results, identify and troubleshoot defects, and deliver detailed reports with recommendations. o Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, GitHub, and Jenkins. o Support defect reproduction and triaging, with a focus on automation-related (autons) issues. o Document test plans, automation frameworks, procedures, and results for knowledge transfer. o Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Copilot, CircuIT) to enhance test automation efficiency. o Deliver final handover documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to the engineering teams in Cisco. Required Qualifications o Proven experience in test automation for networking or SD-WAN solutions. o Strong programming skills in Python and scripting languages -YAML, JSON, C (good to have) o Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub, Jenkins, and automated deployment pipelines. o Experience with automation test frameworks (such as vTest, pyATS or similar). o Familiarity with networking concepts like routing and switching. Good to have (forwarding, traffic engineering, and policy-based routing) o Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications o Experience in SD-WAN technologies and Cisco networking products. o Prior experience using AI tools for test automation augmentation. o Ability to work collaboratively and independently in cross-functional teams
