The Packet Core Expert is part of a Customer Network Support team that looks after a number of various clients and delivering Support services according to the contracted agreements by means of established processes. By fully understanding the deployed solutions for a customer or group of customers and by being the main contact for that solution for both internal and external partners, owns the solution from a Customer Support point of view, enabling efficient service delivery and supportability of contracted customer support services and securing customer happiness. Also takes active part in the handling of the day to day solution Customer Service Requests (CSRs), leading the Fault Isolation CSRs and the solution on Emergency Handling.


You Will :

  • Lead the technical Packet core team & manage preparation of HLD / DLD for the Packet Core Network as per the customer requirements
  • Perform integration and upgrade of the Paco Nodes, end to end trouble shooting, take traces and analysis it for various issues.
  • Drive solutions at customer places, works closely with PDU, SDU and onshore team on a day to day basis for supporting all delivery matters pertaining to modelling & data migration
  • Guide and mentor other team members and provide technical support as required. Taking ownership and responsibility for technical deliverables for assigned project
  • Review of end to end solution and provide & own the cost estimation in the pre sales engagement

To be successful in this role one must have:

  • Education: BE / BTech / ME / MTech / MCA or equivalent through experience and engineering degree
  • Minimum of around 15+ years of Telecom experience in the EPC network space with at least 5 years in technical 4G/5G packet core implementation leading experience
  • Expertise in Solution, Design and integration of Packet Core Nodes which should primarily include – SGSN/MME, GGSN/EPG, PCRF/SAPC, ePDG/WMG and Strong 5G core knowledge which includes AMF/SMF/UPF/PCF/Slicing/HSS etc
  • Deep knowledge of 4G and 5G call flows, and overall understanding of the latest technologies in the Telecom space including VoLTE, VoWiFi, IoT etc
  • Should have understanding of the Cloud environment and understanding of how EPC solutions can be deployed over the cloud.
  • Knowledge on Virtualization (Hypervisor, VM creation, Resource distribution), IT network infrastructure, Openstack. Knowledge of Kubernetes/ Dockers is added plus. Sound understanding of troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, K12/K15 / Spirent
  • Good in network management skills including network operation, network troubleshooting and network/system management
  • Task oriented, dedicated & adaptability to work in cross functional teams. Have an experience of handling demanding customer expectations (working in Indian Domestic environment projects preferred)
  • Willingness to travel as per business needs.
  • Customer Business Processes (eTOM, TOGAF, ITIL) CSI Methodology – ISDM (Integrated Sales and Delivery Model) For ADM (Application Development Management) Methodology-Agile (SAFe) and Waterfall
  • GIAP (Solution Architect) Certification highly desirable
