Job Title: Core Assembly Supervisor - CRGO & Amorphous

Function: Core Cutting & Assembly

Location:POR, Nr Galaxy hotel

Reports to: Production Manager / Core Shop In-Charge

Job Purpose

The Core Assembly Supervisor is responsible for supervising CRGO and Amorphous core cutting, stacking, and assembly operations to achieve specified magnetic performance, dimensional accuracy, minimal losses, and safe, efficient production as per approved drawings and standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Cutting & Preparation

Supervise CRGO core cutting (step-lap / mitred joints) and amorphous ribbon cutting.

Ensure correct material grade, thickness, and batch traceability.

Monitor burr level, cutting accuracy, and lamination/ribbon handling.

Minimize scrap, damage, and material wastage.

2. Core Assembly & Stacking

Supervise stacking of limbs and yokes for CRGO cores as per design drawings.

Oversee amorphous core stacking, banding, and encapsulation methods.

Ensure correct window dimensions, squareness, and alignment.

Maintain proper insulation, spacers, and clamping arrangements.

3. Quality & Loss Control

Ensure adherence to IS / IEC standards and internal quality procedures.

Monitor no-load loss, sound, and vibration performance.

Coordinate with Quality team for inspection, loss testing, and NCR closure.

Implement corrective actions to reduce rework and rejection.

4. Production & Manpower Management

Plan daily work allocation to meet production targets.

Supervise operators and helpers, ensuring skill compliance and productivity.

Train workmen on best practices for CRGO and amorphous core handling.

Maintain discipline and shop-floor control.

5. Material Handling & Storage

Ensure safe handling and storage of CRGO coils, laminations, and amorphous ribbons.

Prevent rusting, edge damage, and mechanical stress.

Maintain FIFO and batch-wise traceability.

6. Equipment, Tools & Maintenance

Ensure proper use and upkeep of:

Core cutting machines

Amorphous ribbon cutting & stacking fixtures

Stacking tables, banding tools, lifting equipment

Coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

7. Safety, EHS & 5S

Enforce PPE usage and safe working practices (sharp edges, lifting, banding).

Prevent injuries related to lamination and ribbon handling.

Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the core shop

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
