About the company

The Administration Music Publishing, Inc. is one of the largest independent music publishers in the US with its headquarters in Las Vegas, NV. We work with songwriters and composers to license their copyrights and collect royalties on them. With a largely hip-hop and rap catalog, Admin MP represents over 100,000 songs including Black Skinhead and Mercy by Kanye West, My Ex's Best Friend by Machine Gun Kelly, What's Beef by The Notorious B.I.G. and Wake Up In the Sky by Gucci Mane and many other notable songs.

Admin MP India is a subsidiary of Admin MP and aims to provide these services to songwriters and composers in India, and to collect on the use of our existing catalog in India. With that in mind, we are looking to hire enthusiastic individuals to join our team. As a member of the Admin MP team, you will play a role in the timely registration of our clients' music while developing strategies to grow our reach in India.

Job Responsibilities

Online research using AI models - scouting PRO public databases (e.g., ASCAP, BMI, IPRS) and music indexing websites (e.g., Genius, Discogs) using ChatGPT (or other comparable software) Database management - working on Microsoft Excel/Word and G Suite to organize and manage metadata for clients Email correspondence - communicate with clients and third parties on vital matters including song registrations, conflicts, and split confirmations
As part of a growing organization, you will be expected to play an active role in the day-to-day operations of the company. You will be given responsibility and sufficient authority to carry out your tasks to the best of your ability. The current Admin MP team is made up of individuals who have a strong sense of accountability, are detail oriented, can work with high volumes of data, and can carry out tasks without the need for constant supervision. The same will be expected of you.

Work experience is not a must to apply for this role, although experience in the music (or entertainment) industry is beneficial. Selected candidates will undergo required training to give them the knowledge needed to work in the field of music publishing and distribution.

The location for this role is Kolkata, West Bengal. Selected candidates will start as interns for a 3 month period at a stipend of INR 25,000/month. At the end of the internship a full time role may be offered to certain interns at a CTC of INR 4,80,000/year. Expected joining would be in the month of March 2026.
