As an editor, you are expected to see for errors in spellings, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, format and often content as well. You should be well informed with things around you.
You will be required to edit the manuscript at both macro level and micro level. At macro level, you are expected to examine the content, organization and logic of the text and see how well it addresses its subject, audience and purpose. At micro level, you are expected to give all copyediting or line editing inputs in order to produce a text that is rhetorically sound, grammatically correct and consistent with our standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Read and edit academic writings
2. Proof checking
3. Review and edit documents on Word files
4. Tally corrections on page proofs
