Key Responsibilities

Edit book manuscripts and other S&T and HSS content for grammar, punctuation, style, clarity, and accuracy. Ensure consistency with relevant style guides (e.g., APA, AMA, Chicago, or client-specific). Fact-check technical content to verify accuracy of data, terminology, and references. Ensure adherence to client or publisher requirements and house style. Collaborate with production teams to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks. Track and incorporate feedback from quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, or related field (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Computer Science), Arts, Commerce, Management, Humanities, Social Sciences. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in scientific/technical editing or publishing. Proficient in editing tools such as Microsoft Word (Track Changes), Adobe Acrobat, and style checker plugins. Exceptional attention to detail and command of the English language.
