To provide general and administrative support to the school office.
Key responsibilities:
Administration of the day to day activities .
Assisting with all new staff inductions.
Coordinate with hr activities.
o Administration of changes to contract and termination documentation, in liaison with Business Manager and Finance, regarding salary information and forwarding all appropriate paperwork to Schools Personnel Service and Payroll.
o Maintain staff records manually and on SIMS to ensure that up-to-date information is being held by the school, and sensitive information is secure and confidential.
To regularly audit personnel files to ensure continuing compliance with the Data Protection Act and school standards. .
Liaison with Business Manager on HR issues, where required and support the introduction process of new legislation / change in HR practices.
o Supervision of the training matrix, completed by the receptionist, to ensure that staff training information is accurate and up-to-date and to provide information for SLT upon request. Maintain training spreadsheet.
o Administration of absence procedures, ensuring return-to work forms are completed in line with Absence Management Policy and to provide information / reports to Business Manager.
o Assisting the Business Manager with procedures for and administration of disciplinary; grievance; capability; long term sickness absence; occupational health and other employee relations matters.
o Provide administrative support for the Performance Management process for support staff.
o Point of contact for day to day HR enquiries (internal and external)
o Assisting with the development and implementation of new HR systems and processes.
o Maintaining up to date awareness of current employment law and best practice issues.
