Ensure taste, quality, and portion control of all dishes.
Plan and prepare vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes as required.
Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
Kitchen Operations
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, utensils, and equipment.
Follow proper storage of ingredients to avoid spoilage and wastage.
Maintain stock of raw materials and inform supervisor in advance for replenishment.
Assist in menu planning based on staff preferences and seasonal availability.
Health & Safety
Follow FSSAI or company food safety standards.
Maintain personal hygiene and wear protective gear (apron, gloves, cap).
Ensure proper temperature control and avoid cross-contamination.
Monitor food expiry and discard spoiled items.
Teamwork & Coordination
Coordinate with Admin/HR regarding daily headcount for meals.
Support in delivering meals on time during peak hours.
Assist in special staff events or functions.
Record Keeping
Maintain daily consumption records and inventory logs.
Report equipment issues, shortages, or repairs needed.
Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in staff cafeteria/mess/hotel.
Basic knowledge of South Indian / North Indian cuisine (as required).
Ability to manage bulk cooking efficiently.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Good time management and multitasking skills.
