Key responsibilities

Food preparation:

Wash, peel, chop, and dice ingredients like vegetables and meats. Weigh and mix ingredients according to recipes.

Cooking:

Cook food using various methods such as baking, grilling, frying, boiling, or steaming. Follow recipes to ensure consistency and quality.

Presentation:

Plate and garnish dishes to be visually appealing.

Kitchen maintenance:

Keep workstations, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized at all times. Follow all health and safety regulations.

Inventory and ordering:

Monitor food stock levels, manage inventory, and place orders for new supplies as needed. Ensure proper food storage and rotation.

Team collaboration:

Work with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service. Assist other cooks when needed.
