Essential Qualifications



Minimum educational qualification:

Ability to

read and write

(Class 5-8 pass preferred)

Professional qualification:

Certificate / experience in cooking

(Indian vegetarian & non-vegetarian meals)

Experience



2-5 years of experience

as a Cook in: Boarding schools / hostels Residential institutions Large kitchens (schools, messes)

Skills & Competencies



Ability to cook

nutritious, hygienic, and balanced meals

for children Knowledge of: Food safety and hygiene standards Safe handling of kitchen equipment and gas appliances Capability to prepare meals in

large quantities

Understanding of

dietary needs of children/adolescents


Health & Safety Requirements



Medical fitness certificate

(mandatory) Regular

health check-ups

as per school policy No communicable diseases Knowledge of basic sanitation and cleanliness

Age Requirement



Generally

25-50 years

(relaxable as per management policy)

Other Mandatory Requirements



Police verification / background check

Willingness to work in a

residential campus

(for boarding schools) Ability to follow school rules and discipline
