The Resort Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality Arabian ,Chinese and Indian dishes, ensuring consistency, authenticity, and exceptional taste. This role involves menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while adhering to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of Arabian and Chinese dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, following traditional recipes and presentation standards.
Develop and update menu items in collaboration with the Head Chef, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet the resort's high standards.
Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring timely reordering to avoid shortages.
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak service hours.
Accommodate special dietary requests and ensure allergen-free meal preparation when required.
Stay updated on culinary trends in Arabian and Chinese cuisines to enhance menu offerings.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook, with at least 3 years of professional kitchen experience specializing in Arabian and Chinese cuisines.
Strong knowledge of traditional and modern cooking techniques for Arabian and Chinese dishes.
Familiarity with ingredients, spices, and flavor profiles specific to Arabian and Chinese culinary traditions.
Culinary certification or diploma from a recognized institution is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations during busy service periods.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP certification is a plus).
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive tasks.
