Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Plan and execute daily food preparation and cooking activities
Ensure food is cooked and presented in an appealing and timely manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food prep areas
Manage inventory and notify when stock is low or expired
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines strictly
Assist in developing or updating menu items if needed
Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth operations
Minimize food wastage and optimize ingredient usage
Requirements:
Proven experience as a cook or chef (restaurant, cafe, or catering preferred)
Ability to prepare a variety of dishes (snacks, meals, beverages, etc.)
Strong understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Good communication and team collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
Specialized knowledge in [Indian / South Indian / Street food / Bakery] cuisine
Experience in food plating and presentation
Ability to train junior kitchen staff.
