We are seeking a dedicated and skilled
Cook
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, knowledge of various cuisines, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Role Overview
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and hygienic meals for guests and staff, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. You will work closely with the kitchen team to support daily operations, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes as per menu and guest preferences (Indian, Continental, etc.)
Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and taste of all dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Kitchen Operations
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and recipes
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management
Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients
Hygiene & Safety
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene as per FSSAI norms
Ensure proper use and storage of kitchen equipment and tools
Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times
Team Collaboration
Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen staff for smooth service
Assist in menu planning and food trials, if required
Be flexible to support other team members during high-demand periods
Qualifications and Skills
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification or diploma in culinary arts or food production (preferred)
Experience
1-3 years of experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role
Experience in hotel or resort kitchens is an added advantage
Technical & Culinary Skills
Knowledge of Indian and basic continental cuisine
Familiar with kitchen tools, safety standards, and cooking techniques
Basic knowledge of food allergens and dietary restrictions
Soft Skills
Punctual, disciplined, and detail-oriented
Ability to work under pressure and in a team
Good communication and time-management skills
