Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning and Preparation:
- Design and prepare a variety of high-quality, diverse, and innovative meals.
-Must have experience of veg & non Veg South Indian, north Indian dishes
-Knowledge of costal Mangalorean cuisine expert will be given preference
- Customize menus according to guests' preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
- Kitchen Management:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Oversee the proper storage and handling of all food items.
- Monitor kitchen equipment for proper operation and report any maintenance needs.
- Inventory and Supplies:
- Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring adequate stock of ingredients and supplies.
- Liaise with suppliers to source the freshest and finest ingredients.
- Track and control food costs to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and advancements.
- Ensure all kitchen activities comply with local health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the house manager and other staff to coordinate meal schedules and events.
- Train and mentor kitchen assistants or junior staff as needed.
- Communicate effectively with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any special requests or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a high-end restaurant, resort, or similar luxury setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent understanding of culinary trends and the ability to create innovative dishes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
