Duties

Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations at all times. Supervise kitchen staff, including dietary aides and cooks, providing training on knife skills, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling practices. Manage inventory levels for ingredients and supplies, minimizing waste while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with catering teams to plan special events and large-scale meal services with precision and flair. Ensure all food service operations adhere to health codes, safety protocols, and industry best practices for fine dining environments. Maintain detailed documentation of kitchen procedures, safety inspections, and staff certifications to support ongoing compliance. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and a passion for culinary excellence. Stay current with trends in the food industry to continuously enhance menu offerings and service quality.

Experience



Extensive background in the food industry with proven experience in restaurant or fine dining settings. Demonstrated expertise in dietary department operations and dietary aide supervision. Strong skills in menu planning, meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation. Hands-on experience with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Previous roles involving kitchen management or senior culinary responsibilities are highly preferred. Proficiency in catering services and large-scale food service operations is advantageous. Excellent knife skills combined with a thorough understanding of culinary techniques for diverse cuisines. Experience working within the food industry's regulatory environment to ensure compliance at all times.
