Home-Based Cook - Diabetic-Friendly Meals

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and health-conscious Cook to prepare nutritious, home-style meals specifically designed for individuals with diabetes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diabetic dietary needs, portion control, and the ability to create balanced, tasty, and safe meal plans.

This is a home-based position ideal for someone experienced in preparing healthy Indian and international dishes suitable for diabetic patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare diabetic-friendly meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) based on nutritional guidelines and doctor/dietitian recommendations. Ensure all dishes are low in sugar, low in unhealthy fats, and moderate in carbohydrates. Use whole grains, lean proteins, fresh vegetables, and healthy fats in all preparations. Maintain strict hygiene, portion control, and food safety standards in the kitchen. Adjust recipes based on individual dietary restrictions (e.g., cholesterol, hypertension, etc.). Prepare weekly meal plans and maintain an organized schedule for meal prep and delivery. Keep a record of ingredients, calorie content, and nutritional values. Purchase high-quality, fresh ingredients from reliable sources. Maintain cleanliness of the cooking area, utensils, and storage spaces.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Cook / Chef / Home Cook, preferably with a focus on healthy or diabetic diets. Knowledge of nutrition, calorie balance, and diabetic food restrictions. Ability to plan menus and cook with precision and consistency. Good organizational and time-management skills. Basic knowledge of food labeling, portioning, and storage. Certification or prior training in nutrition or food safety (preferred but not mandatory). Passion for health, wellness, and cooking wholesome meals.
Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Indian and international diabetic meal options (e.g., low-GI meals, sugar-free desserts, whole-grain dishes). Understanding of glycemic index and glycemic load in foods. Ability to innovate traditional dishes into healthy alternatives. Excellent taste, plating, and presentation skills.
