Position:

Conventional Boring & Milling Machine Operator

Location:

Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose:

To operate and maintain

conventional boring and milling machines

to perform precision machining operations on metal components according to engineering drawings and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate

conventional boring machines

and

manual milling machines

for precision machining tasks. Read and interpret

engineering drawings, machining sketches, and job specifications

. Select appropriate

cutting tools, speeds, and feeds

for each machining operation. Perform boring, facing, drilling, slotting, and milling operations as required. Measure and verify dimensions of finished work using

micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, bore gauges

, and other precision instruments. Maintain tight tolerances and ensure components meet required dimensions and surface finish. Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to achieve accuracy. Perform

routine maintenance

, cleaning, and lubrication of machines. Ensure safe handling of tools, fixtures, and workpieces during machining. Collaborate with supervisors or engineers to clarify specifications when needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area following company safety standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Proven experience operating

conventional/manual boring machines

and

manual milling machines

. Strong knowledge of machining processes and metal-cutting techniques. Ability to read and interpret

technical drawings and tolerances

. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, dial gauges, bore gauges, etc.). Good understanding of machine setup, tool alignment, and fixture setup. Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in machining tasks. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Physically fit to handle machining operations and heavy components.

Preferred:

Experience in a

manufacturing, fabrication, or machine shop

environment. Knowledge of different metals and machining parameters. Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
