Job Description

Project Management:

Supervise all on-site construction activities from foundation to completion, ensuring the project aligns with blueprints and specifications.

Team Leadership:

Manage and direct a crew of construction workers, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and training.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce and maintain a safe working environment by conducting regular site inspections, leading safety meetings, and ensuring all personnel adhere to safety regulations and use proper protective equipment.

Quality Control:

Inspect work to ensure quality craftsmanship and compliance with building codes and project standards.

Resource Management:

Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, equipment, and labor to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Problem-Solving:

Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during construction, such as equipment malfunctions, design discrepancies, or scheduling conflicts.

Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact between the project manager, subcontractors, and the construction crew. Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a construction-related role, with prior experience in a supervisory capacity. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures. Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety) may be required. A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
