Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in control system development and software engineering.
About the role:We are looking for experienced personnel in the field of Control algorithm development. The candidate should have research-oriented experience and continuously work towards the improvement of stack performance. The position calls for a good understanding of transportation systems with an All-around knowledge of the robotics domain. The ability to balance time between research on new topics and tasks related to ongoing projects, along with guiding subordinates is preferred. Familiarity with code optimization for the deployment stage is required.The team works towards the development of algorithms for different features to achieve autonomy level 3 and level 4. The algorithms are continuously tested on simulation and vehicle systems for verification and validation.

Responsibilities:

Development of algorithms from architecture design to implementation, tuning, and validation. Design path tracking controllers for various vehicle models. Design low-level controllers for vehicle specific actuators. Implement and test control algorithms on real-time embedded systems. Tuning and validation of plant models to emulate real physical systems' behavior Co-ordination with other departments to maintain consistency and compatibility in department stack.
Requirements:

Proficiency in C++ (Strictly no auto-code generation). Experience in control architecture design following industry standards. Ability to break down complex control concepts into intuitive explanations. Hands-on experience with Model Predictive Control (MPC) and other optimal control methods. Knowledge of data-driven modeling techniques for control applications. Strong foundation in classical, modern, and optimal control theory. Experience with version control (Git). Proficiency in ROS/ROS2 for real-time control applications. Software development skills, including debugging and performance optimization.
Nice to Have:

Understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP). Experience with state estimation techniques (e.g., Kalman Filters, Bayesian Filtering). Knowledge of Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning for control. Low-level programming experience, including Linux kernel APIs. Familiarity with MISRA C++ and software safety standards.
