The Electrical Wireman will be responsible for wiring, assembling, and testing electrical control panels, machine wiring, and field installation work. The position requires strong knowledge of
electrical panel design
, wiring layouts, and electrical components used in industrial machinery. The role supports production operations by ensuring accurate, safe, and high-quality electrical panel installation.
Key Responsibilities:1. Panel Wiring & Assembly
Execute wiring of electrical control panels as per schematic diagrams.
Assemble electrical components such as MCB, MCCB, contactors, relays, SMPS, VFDs, timers, terminal blocks, etc.
Maintain neat and professional wiring standards (ferruling, crimping, routing, dressing).
2. Electrical Panel Design (Key Skill)
Assist in preparing and understanding
electrical panel design
, wiring layouts, and load distribution.
Interpret and modify electrical schematics when required.
Coordinate with Electrical Engineer for improvements in panel design and layout optimization.
3. Machine & Field Wiring
Carry out power and control wiring for machines and automation systems.
Undertake field installation of cables, conduits, cable trays, and electrical accessories.
4. Testing & Troubleshooting
Perform continuity testing, insulation testing, and panel functional checks.
Diagnose faults in panels, wiring, and electrical circuits.
Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of wiring changes, panel modifications, and material consumption.
Report issues related to components, wiring, or safety to the Supervisor/Engineer.
Support the production team in meeting daily/weekly electrical targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
ITI (Electrician / Wireman) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in electrical panel wiring and industrial electrical work.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of
electrical panel design
and schematic interpretation.
Experience in wiring control panels and machine control systems.
Proficient in using wiring tools: crimping tools, ferrule printers, multimeter, megger, etc.
Understanding of electrical safety standards and industrial practices.
