Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined Line of Business-aligned (LOB-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.

GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions. The current opening is within the Finance Control Management team which forms part of Corporate LOB within GF&BM India

About the Team

Finance Control Management (FCM) is responsible for maintaining a strong and consistent control environment across Firmwide Finance, promoting early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk. FCM are also responsible for managing the Firm's SOX Framework and CCAR CFO Attestation Program and governing other external reporting initiatives including Quality Assurance, Accountability & Attestations, Issues & Errors Management.

About the Role

In this role, the control Manager will be responsible for ensuring Corporate finance Subgroups has a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment, identifying and escalating issues with a sense of urgency, and partnering with the stakeholders to ensure issues are remediated in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with Corporate Finance Functional colleagues to develop an in-depth understanding of the Risks & Controls of the assigned function and to assist in the identification and/or development of controls to mitigate gaps
  • Establish sustainable processes for evaluating the design and effectiveness of the controls built in the processes.
  • Maintaining the Risk Assessment Structure (RAS) in the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) tool with timely updates
  • Support the process in the Issue & Error Management framework by performing the root cause analysis, recommending strategic / tactical action plans development for the errors, logging of issues and validation of action plans at closure;
  • Supporting control forums including content and agenda for meetings
  • Partnering with Internal Audit and Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk during audits/reviews
  • Report/summarize test results for management
Desired Candidate Profile:
  • BS in Accounting or Finance
  • overall 6 years of work experience with minimum of 4 years of Internal control / audit experience
  • Understanding of Control testing methodology
  • Strong skills in time management, problem solving, written and verbal communication
  • Strong MS Office skillset
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Works well individually and in teams, shares information and supports colleagues;
Shift Timing: 12.30 PM to 21:30 PM
