The Surgical Technologist Instructor will work closely with educational content developers to create and enhance the surgical technology training program. This individual will also be responsible for teaching and validating course materials and providing hands-on instruction in surgical techniques, safety protocols, and patient care in the OR.
Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and update curriculum related to surgical technology practices, including aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, patient safety, and sterilization.
Collaborate with curriculum developers to ensure course content aligns with national certification standards (e.g., CST).
Provide real-world examples and case studies to help students apply theoretical knowledge.
Qualifications:
Degree: An Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field.
Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
Experience:
At least 5 years of clinical experience as a surgical technologist, with exposure to various surgical procedures.
Teaching Experience: Previous experience teaching or training surgical technologists is preferred.
Skills:
Expertise in surgical procedures, medical ethics, patient care in the OR, and teaching practical skills.
Location:
Remote India
Its a contractual role. The consultant willhave to invest 10-20 hours per week.
