Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and administer construction contracts (Item Rate, EPC, Lump Sum, Turnkey).
Ensure compliance with GCC, SCC, BOQs, specifications, and drawings.
Manage RA bills, final bills, extra items, deviations, and variations.
Handle Extension of Time (EOT), escalation, LD, and contractual claims.
Coordinate with project, QS, finance, legal, and consultants on contractual matters.
Monitor bank guarantees, retention money, advances, and insurance policies.
Ensure statutory compliance (Indian Contract Act, labour laws, GST on works contracts).
Maintain contract documentation, correspondence, and MIS reports.
Support dispute resolution, arbitration, and audits.
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of Indian construction contracts (CPWD/PWD/Private).
Expertise in rate analysis (DSR/SSR), claims, and variation management.
Negotiation, documentation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
Certification in Contracts / Construction Law (preferred).
Experience
8-15 years of experience in construction contract & commercial management.
