The Contracts Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and negotiating contracts within residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure all contractual agreements are executed with precision, aligning with company standards and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting and Negotiation
: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure favorable terms and compliance with legal standards.
Risk Assessment
: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with contractual agreements and ensure all contracts are in compliance with company policies.
Contract Administration
: Manage contract life cycle from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and conditions, and resolving any disputes that arise.
Cost Control and Budget Management
: Assist in the preparation of budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure cost control measures are implemented effectively across all contracts.
Compliance and Documentation
: Ensure all contract documents are maintained and updated regularly, and contracts comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
Software Proficiency
: AutoCAD
Key Requirements
Experience
: 1-6 years of experience in contract management within the real estate or construction industry.
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with residential construction projects
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
