Key Responsibilities:
Monitor database systems, jobs, backups, and alerts using monitoring tools.
Perform health checks on databases, including space utilization and performance indicators.
Escalate unresolved or high-severity issues to L2/L3 support teams.
Monitor scheduled backups and report failures or anomalies.
Handon experience on DB backup and backup deletion activities.
Perform archive log cleanup, temporary file monitoring, and housekeeping activities.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly database tasks (e.g., tablespace monitoring, backup validation).
Maintain logs and shift handover reports.
Share daily status updates on incidents and activities performed.
Follow defined SOPs and checklists for regular database tasks.
Basic knowledge on ODG.
Basic knowledge on Oracle RAC.
Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles.
Ensure compliance with security and access control policies.
Banking experience will be a value add.
Required Skills:
Good knowledge of Oracle database architecture and RMAN.
Understanding of backup and recovery concepts.
Familiarity with tablespace management and database monitoring.
Good analytical and documentation skills.
Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix command-line operations.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts (24x7 environment).
