Support drafting of a variety of procurement contracts (MGA MSA, Pricing) and contracting activities related to sourcing events for the global procurement sourcing teams and category teams including understanding complex risk issues such as privacy, data access issues, information security, choice of forms appropriate for transactions, indemnity and intellectual property implications and scenarios that will implicate the Delegation of Authority for required escalation for legal review
Support the sourcing teams in evaluating redlined supplier contracts, focusing on key terms necessary to IHG's overall contracting basics/guidelines, delegation of authority and risk issues, including risk mitigation
Support the contract negotiations to ensure contract terms reflect the desired commercial and legal positions
Initial review of supplier's red-lines to legal terms of the standard procurement form contracts and coordinate and mark up legal comments working with senior legal team members. Run and provide comparison of contract versions using available software.
Provide initial review and analysis of current agreements for legal review, in particular identifying risk issues for mitigation and issues that require escalation to senior legal team members
Collaborate with internal team members like Privacy, Finance, Risk Management, IP, Information Security, and Procurement to align on contract terms
Utilize contract management software to draft contracts and access contract records. Assist with training legal users on contract software. Support enhancements and changes to contract management elements of software
Participate in risk mitigation efforts
Escalation of delegation of authority and/or risk issues to the appropriate level within the BRR organization when encountered

Critical Knowledge and Experience
Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in contracts and contract management, procurement and/or law
Proven understanding of English and/or US contract law (desired but not required)
At least 5 years' experience as a contract manager negotiating and drafting commercial contracts
Experience managing and running a large pipeline of commercial contracting projects
Experience negotiating contracts for commercial deals
Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
Demonstrated understanding of procurement processes
Demonstrated ability to issue spot and escalate
Excellent Microsoft office skills and procurement S2C systems
Excellent communication skills
