will be responsible for managing all contractual, billing, and documentation aspects of construction projects. The role involves preparing, verifying, and certifying bills, handling contractual correspondence, analyzing project costs, and ensuring compliance with project terms and conditions. The position requires a thorough understanding of construction contracts, billing procedures, and project financial management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Billing & Certification
Prepare, verify, and submit client and subcontractor bills as per contract terms.
Ensure all measurements and quantities are accurately recorded and certified.
Reconcile quantities and track variations between BOQ and actual site execution.
Coordinate with the site and planning teams for progress measurement and billing.
2. Contracts Administration
Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications to identify commercial and contractual risks.
Assist in drafting and reviewing contractual correspondence, claims, and variation proposals.
Maintain and update records of all contract-related documentation and approvals.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms, project budgets, and company policies.
3. Cost Control & Estimation
Assist in project cost tracking and cash flow forecasting.
Support management in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
Analyze rate differences, material consumption, and productivity for financial accuracy.
4. Coorination & Reporting
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for billing and certification processes.
Coordinate with accounts for timely payment follow-up and reconciliation.
Prepare MIS reports, billing summaries, and cost analysis for management review.
5. Claim & Variation Management
Prepare and substantiate claims for extra items, deviations, and variations.
Maintain detailed records to support claims and defend against disputes.
Negotiate with clients/subcontractors for settlement of final accounts.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Diploma holders with strong experience may be considered).
Experience:
Minimum
8-12 years
of experience in contracts, billing, and quantity surveying within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction billing procedures, BOQ, and contract terms (FIDIC knowledge is an advantage).
Proficiency in
MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and ERP systems
.
Excellent understanding of measurement techniques and rate analysis.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Good communication and coordination skills.
