Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive

Contract Accountant

to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support the finance function. This role involves recording transactions, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance, and assisting in audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily accounting operations and update entries in the books of accounts. Verify accounting entries for accuracy, compliance, and initiate transactions as required. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and cash flow statements to monitor liquidity. Provide guidance and support to Accounts team members. Prepare utilization sheets for grant management. Handle TDS, GST calculations, verifications, and ensure all statutory compliance. Lead audit preparations, provide necessary working papers, and liaise with auditors. Prepare monthly MIS reports, budgets, forecasts, and analyze variance (Budget vs Actuals). Coordinate with Chartered Accountants (CAs) and external consultants as needed. Submit accounting documents and reports to CAs and senior management. Lead the accounting and finance function, ensuring accuracy and completeness of books.

Requirements:

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and MS Office Suite. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Leadership qualities to motivate and guide team members.
