Continuous Improvement Specialist will be a change agent to facilitate, support and drive activities to bring the improvements in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost in plant. He /She will focus on identification of wastes in manufacturing /entire supply chain by using appropriate Lean tools, variation reduction tools and methodologies. He /she will be responsible for driving continuous improvement culture throughout the plant.

What You'll Be Doing



Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Securing performance of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost within site operations

Acting as a leader to the site Continuous Improvement Team

Developing and managing manufacturing operations to achieve Manufacturing Excellence. This will involve the appropriate application of a wide variety of business improvement tools with this Danfoss Business Systems toolkit to maximize synergies and reduce cost through waste reduction, inventory management and improvement of flow

Deployment of the Danfoss Factory Fundamentals throughout the operations.

Accountability for overall productivity metrics of the operations

Work hands-on with the factory team to identify, drive and execute continuous improvements.

Driving and improving results by leveraging lean tools, consulting skills, and change management processes.

Creating long-term activity roadmaps and lean transformation projects for our factories including Kaizen and step change projects

Maintain the factory Roadmap that lists all activities related to improving Productivity. Facilitate the creation of quarterly Tactical Implementation Plans (TIPs) with main activities from the roadmap expanded to show weekly detail of tasks and who is responsible for each of them.

Maintain Hourly Registration targets and proper use of Hourly Registration for urgent operation and to capture deviations.

Ensure Performance boards are set up, maintained and used correctly. Ensure deviation to targets is a main source in driving improvement activities, and that all performance reviews are conducted with full and active team.

Support the factory team in solving root causes of production deviations and restore performance to targeted levels or continuously improve.

Ensure RCPS boards are updated daily according to standard and that deviation to targets is a main source in driving RCPS activities with full and active team participation.

Support an FMS tool for the factory and facilitate updates at least monthly with the factory leaders. Support Agreed vs. Actual staffing is clearly visible in PMS and Factory boards and staffing is monitored and adjusted accordingly.

Ensure weekly Shop Floor Audit and review results of audits conducted by others. Prompt action from leaders to address findings in Shop Floor Audits.

Ensure manufacturing capabilities provide a competitive advantage.

What We're Looking For



Education- B.E. Mechanical/Production Engineering, Business or similar is required.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, preferably Black Belt

Experience- 10-12 years in Manufacturing Engineering/Operations.

Minimum of 4 years' experience and excellent understanding of Lean Manufacturing philosophy, tools, and methods(Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is mandatory

Specialized knowledge - Experience in driving continuous Improvement Culture like 5S, VSM/MIFA, TPM, Lean - Six sigma implementation

Managerial experience in a manufacturing environment in a large- or medium-sized company.

Ability to connect with and develop colleagues at all levels.

Prior experience working in a matrix environment

Good knowledge of manufacturing process

Experience in systematic Problems Solving tools like 4- Step, 8D; 7QC tools

Experience in Precision Manufacturing, MTM & MOST is desirabl

Personal Attributes- Excellent communication skills and fluent in English

Strong analytical and project management skills

Familiar with Excel and SharePoint. Ability to access data and provide useful and timely analysis.

Ability to connect with and coach and train people at all levels.

High level of ambition, performance orientation and a track record of driving continuous improvement in a global industrial setting
