The Continental Commis I is responsible for preparing high-quality continental dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, supporting menu execution, and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Key Responsibilities:
# Food Preparation & Cooking
Prepare, cook, and present continental dishes as per hotel standards.
Assist the CDP/Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Ensure all preparations are completed well in advance for service (mise-en-place).
Follow recipes, portion controls, and standard presentation guidelines.
# Quality & Standards
Maintain high-quality standards for taste, texture, and appearance of dishes.
Ensure freshness and proper handling of all ingredients.
Monitor and minimize wastage in the kitchen.
# Hygiene & Safety
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices (FSSAI standards).
Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items (FIFO system).
# Team Collaboration
Coordinate effectively with chefs and fellow commis staff.
Support kitchen team during busy service hours.
Assist in training junior commis when required.
# Inventory & Equipment
Report shortages, equipment issues, or maintenance needs.
Ensure all tools, knives, and equipment are handled carefully.

Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as Continental Commis I or similar role in hotel/restaurant.
Strong knowledge of continental cuisine (grills, sauces, pastas, salads, soups, etc.).
Basic understanding of kitchen safety and HACCP standards.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Education & Experience:
Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in continental kitchen.

Work Conditions:
Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand for long hours and handle kitchen heat.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
