Responsibilities

Food Preparation:

Prepare, cook, and present a variety of Continental dishes, including cold starters, salads, and other cold items.

Kitchen Maintenance:

Maintain a clean and organized workstation, follow health and safety regulations, and ensure equipment is properly used and maintained.

Inventory Management:

Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering ingredients, and ensure all food items are correctly stored and discarded when expired or spoiled.

Quality Control:

Ensure food is prepared to the highest standards, with proper portion sizes, garnish, and presentation.

Team Support:

Assist senior chefs and collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

Experience:

Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a Continental or cold kitchen setting, is often required.

Skills:

Basic knife skills, knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, and strong teamwork abilities are essential.

Education:

A diploma or certification in culinary arts is often preferred.
