The Continental Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality continental dishes in a hotel environment. The role includes menu planning, maintaining hygiene standards, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring guest satisfaction through consistent food quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Cooking
Prepare and cook continental cuisine such as Italian, French, Mediterranean, and European dishes.
Ensure all dishes meet hotel quality standards for taste, consistency, and presentation.
Follow standardized recipes and contribute to new dish creation.
Ensure proper portion control and minimize food wastage.
Kitchen Operations
Organize workstations and ensure timely preparation during service.
Supervise commis chefs, cooks, and helpers assigned to the continental section.
Maintain kitchen equipment in proper working order and report issues promptly.
Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth workflow.
Hygiene & Safety
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Follow food safety regulations (HACCP standards).
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
