The Continental Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of Continental dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency. The role requires creativity, precision, and consistency in delivering quality food.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook Continental dishes including pastas, steaks, grilled items, sauces, and salads.
Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Monitor food stock and assist in inventory management.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Support the Head Chef in planning menus and developing new Continental recipes.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Manage time effectively to handle multiple orders during peak hours.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Continental Chef or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Continental cuisine, cooking techniques, and presentation styles.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management preferred.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
