Prepare, cook, and present continental dishes under the guidance of the Chef de Partie.
Handle more complex prep work like sauce preparation, marination, and plating support.
Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
Assist in daily kitchen operations, mise en place, and food rotation.
Ensure the workstation is clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
Assist with stock control and proper storage of ingredients.
Support training and mentoring of Commis II and kitchen helpers.
For Commis II:
Perform basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling salads.
Support the Commis I and Chef de Partie in day-to-day tasks.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the food prep area.
Learn and follow kitchen SOPs, hygiene protocols, and standard recipes.
Refill ingredients, sauces, and garnishes as needed.
Assist with washing, labeling, and storing ingredients properly.
