We are looking for a skilled Continental Chef who can prepare a wide range of continental dishes with consistency, creativity, and quality. The candidate should have strong knowledge of European cuisines, modern cooking techniques, plating, and kitchen hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present continental dishes according to our menu standards.
Maintain high levels of food quality, taste, and presentation.
Develop new dishes and assist in menu planning.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory and ordering.
Ensure dishes are prepared within standard preparation and service time.
Work closely with the Head Chef and management team to maintain consistency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience working as a Continental Chef or similar role.
Strong knowledge of continental cuisine (Italian, French, Mediterranean, etc.).
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good understanding of cooking techniques, sauces, stocks, and bakery basics.
Knowledge of portion control and cost management.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Ability to maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
