Slize Bakes is hiring a CDP - Continental / Chinese for a newly opening cafe in Kollam. The CDP will be responsible for menu setup, section handling, and smooth execution of Continental and Chinese cafe dishes during the launch and operational phase.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and finalise the Continental & Chinese cafe menu in coordination with management

Standardise recipes, portion sizes, preparation methods, and basic plating

Prepare and oversee cafe dishes such as sandwiches, burgers, pasta, noodles, fried rice, and starters

Manage daily kitchen operations of the assigned section independently

Supervise commis staff and kitchen helpers

Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards

Control food cost and minimise wastage

Support trial runs and cafe launch activities

Requirements:

2-3 years experience in Continental / Chinese or cafe kitchen

Experience as CDP or strong Commi 1 ready to step up

Ability to design and execute a practical, fast-moving cafe menu

Experience in cafe, bakery cafe, or QSR preferred

Good time management and ability to handle rush hours

Preferred:

Experience in new cafe or restaurant setup

Basic knowledge of inventory planning and costing
