Role Overview

As a

Content Writing & Editorial Intern

, you will work closely with our editorial team to help children refine their stories, poems, and creative writing pieces.
This is not a typical content writing internship -- it is a

story editing + child-interaction role

where you help young writers shape their ideas while preserving their voice and originality.

Strong performers may be offered a

full-time Editor position

Responsibilities (Don't worry, you will be trained on all of these)

Editing & Content Support

Edit stories, poems, scripts, and essays written by children (ages 7-16) Improve clarity, flow, grammar, and structure without changing the child's natural voice*
Provide constructive, age-appropriate feedback during editor meetings Help children expand ideas using prompts, questions, and structured storytelling tools Review manuscripts for publishability and completeness Work within word-count and format guidelines

Child Interaction

Conduct online editor meetings with children to guide them through storyline improvements Use positive reinforcement, curiosity, and patience Encourage creativity while teaching basic writing skills

Content Writing

Create short descriptions, blurbs, and synopses for children's books Draft website, blog, or social media content when required Prepare story summaries for parents and internal teams

Team Coordination

Collaborate with editors, publishing coordinators, and operations teams Deliver manuscripts on time with high editorial quality Adapt to Learner Circle's editorial standards and processes

Required Skills & Qualities

Avid reader

-- someone who naturally loves books, children's literature, and storytelling Strong command over English grammar, writing, and comprehension Passion for working with children and nurturing creativity Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills Ability to simplify ideas and explain concepts clearly Willingness to learn editorial best practices and publishing workflows Detail-oriented and comfortable working with deadlines Familiarity with story structure (plots, characters, arcs) is a bonus Experience in creative writing/editing preferred but not mandatory

Eligibility

Graduates / final-year students in English Literature, Journalism, Media, Psychology, or similar fields (or just someone who loves young adult fiction) Freshers / People with Career break are welcome Full-time availability (WFH) required Good laptop + stable internet connection

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ?5,000.00 - ?7,500.00 per month
