Global Vikas Trust is a grassroots non-profit organisation working to uplift rural India by helping small and marginal farmers increase their income through high-value crops, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, women empowerment initiatives, and social causes such as dowry-free community marriages. Over the last six years, GVT has planted more than 6.78+ crore fruit trees across 43,000+ acres, supported over 30,000+ farmer families in 5,000+ villages, increased farmers' income from ?38,700 to ?3,93,000 per acre, harvested 800+ crore litres of water, and built a world-class one lakh sq.ft farmer training centre on a 25-acre campus.

Job Summary:



We're looking for a passionate Content Writer who can bring stories to life across social media and print platforms. The ideal candidate is someone who cares deeply about social impact, has a strong grasp of writing for diverse audiences, and can craft content that inspires, informs, and mobilizes.

Key Responsibilities:



Social Media Content:

Write engaging, emotionally resonant content for platforms such as

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter (X), and YouTube

. Convert

on-ground stories, farmer journeys, beneficiary voices, and program updates

into compelling posts, captions, reels scripts, and short video narratives. Work closely with the

design and video teams

to ensure visuals and messaging align with the core story and brand values. Support

content planning, campaign ideation, and monthly content calendars

across platforms. Adapt content tone and format for different audiences while maintaining a

consistent brand voice

. Track sector trends, digital storytelling formats, and best practices in the

nonprofit and development space

.

Print Media Content:

Write, edit, and proofread content for

newsletters, donor reports, brochures, GVT booklets, annual reports, and other print materials

. Collaborate with the

program and data teams

to gather accurate information, field insights, impact data, and beneficiary stories. Transform data and field inputs into

clear, meaningful, and human-centered narratives

. Ensure

consistency in tone, language, and messaging

across all external communications. Support documentation of key projects, milestones, and impact stories for institutional communication.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Mass Communication, Development Studies, or a related field. Strong portfolio showcasing written content across both social and print channels. Ability to simplify complex ideas and write with empathy and impact. Excellent command of English and Marathi. Comfortable working in a collaborative and dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
