Content Writer (On-site) -- India

About The Role

We are hiring an on-site SEO Content Writer to create high-quality, conversion-oriented content across blogs, landing pages, product descriptions, and marketing assets. You will own content creation end-to-end: research, writing, optimisation, and performance tracking while collaborating closely with SEO specialists, designers, and account managers to deliver client results.

Role & Responsibilities

Produce clear, engaging, and SEO-optimised content for blogs, landing pages, email campaigns, social posts, and ad copy aligned to content calendar and campaign briefs. Conduct keyword research and competitor content analysis to define content angles, search intent targets, and on-page optimisation (titles, meta descriptions, headings, schema where relevant). Publish and edit content within CMS (WordPress), ensuring proper formatting, internal linking, alt tags, and basic HTML where required. Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, and account teams to refine briefs, incorporate feedback, and deliver content that supports traffic and conversion KPIs. Monitor content performance using Google Analytics/Search Console and recommend optimisations (updates, A/B tests, repurposing) to improve organic rankings and engagement. Maintain an accurate content calendar, meet deadlines for multiple client projects, and uphold editorial quality and brand voice consistency.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

1 year of professional content-writing experience with demonstrable SEO-focused work (blogs, landing pages, product copy). Strong command of English grammar, tone adaptation, and storytelling for digital audiences; portfolio required. Practical experience with keyword research and on-page SEO best practices (title tags, meta descriptions, header structure). Hands-on familiarity with CMS (WordPress) and basic content publishing workflows. Good time-management, ability to handle multiple on-site client projects, and receptive to iterative feedback.

Preferred

Experience using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar. Basic HTML/CSS knowledge, experience with content for paid campaigns (Google Ads, social ads), or background in journalism/communications.
