Job Description

Role:Communications Officers write and distribute content to promote an organization's brand, activities or products. They act as a liaison between the organization, the public, and the media to ensure that the brand remains top of mind. The Communications Officer will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity material, respond to inquiries from the public and media, and coordinate promotional events.Communications Officer should be able to think creatively, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.ResponsibilitiesCommunications

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, newsletters, website content, donor reports, quarterly reports, six month report, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.
  • Coordinating with internal and external communication, Prepare reports, writing case studies, thanking letters, applications.
  • Work with team members to conceptualize and implement communications strategies and campaigns
Website and Social Media
  • Participate in the ongoing maintenance of the organization's online presence, including writing stories and articles
  • Respond to media inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
  • Maintain records of media coverage.
  • Content writing for the social media posting.
Legal and Statutory renewals
  • Work on organization legal and statutory renewals.
  • Facilitate the organization's award application and recognition work.
Project work
  • Participate and Understand the projects within the Branch
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of communications activities.
  • Proposal writing
  • Impact Assessment Report
  • Monitoring and Evaluation report
  • Developing Communication Material
  • Pamphlets for all projects
  • Project PPTs
  • Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos
