The
Content Operations & SEO Manager
is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of content on Acquia.com and content for DemandGen and Customer Marketing.
We're looking for a
Content Operations & SEO Manager
to own the content lifecycle and organic performance of Acquia.com. This is a high-impact role where you'll establish content governance, drive SEO growth, and leverage AI to scale content operations--all while working closely with Marketing, Product, and our global development team.
You'll be the first person to own content operations holistically at Acquia, which means you get to build the frameworks, workflows, and standards from the ground up. If you love bringing order to chaos and using data + AI to drive measurable business impact, this is your opportunity.
Responsibilities

Content Governance & Strategy (40%)
Establish and enforce content governance framework for Acquia.com
Conduct quarterly content audits and maintain content health standards
Design content lifecycle processes (creation, review, update, archival)
Build content templates, taxonomies, and publishing standards in Drupal
Own the content calendar and prioritization framework
SEO & Organic Growth (30%)
Drive organic traffic growth through technical and on-page SEO optimization
Partner with SEO tools (Conductor, GA4) to identify opportunities and track performance
Execute content optimization sprints based on keyword and traffic analysis
Optimize site architecture, internal linking, and metadata
Monitor Core Web Vitals and advocate for technical SEO improvements
Workflow Optimization & Enablement (20%)
Design efficient content publishing workflows in Drupal
Train marketing teams on content management best practices
Reduce time-to-publish and eliminate content bottlenecks
Create documentation and enablement materials for stakeholders
Act as bridge between marketing stakeholders and development team
AI-Powered Content Operations (10%)
Implement AI-assisted workflows for content creation and optimization
Leverage tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI platforms to scale content production
Build prompt libraries and best practices for AI-assisted content work
Train marketing teams on effective AI tool usage
Measure and report on AI impact on content velocity and quality
Requirements
----------------
Experience:
5+ years in
content strategy, content operations
, or digital marketing roles
3+ years hands-on
SEO experience
(both technical and content optimization)
Experience with enterprise CMS platforms (Drupal strongly preferred)
Proven track record of driving organic traffic growth through content optimization
Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of
SEO fundamentals
(technical, on-page, content)
Proficiency with SEO tools (Conductor, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.)
Experience with analytics platforms (GA4, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
Comfortable with HTML/CSS basics and understanding how CMS platforms work
Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (Pardot/Salesforce a plus)
Content & Strategy:
Excellent writing and editing skills
Data-driven approach to content prioritization and decision-making
Experience building content governance frameworks and processes
Understanding of B2B SaaS marketing and buyer journeys
Strong project management and organizational skills
AI & Innovation:
Hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, etc.)
Comfortable experimenting with new technologies and workflows
Ability to evangelize and train others on AI adoption
Creative problem-solver who sees technology as an enabler
Preferred Qualifications
