Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute content acquisition strategies across movies, series, originals, and regional/international content
Identify content gaps using viewership data, market trends, and competitor analysis
Source content from studios, distributors, producers, and independent creators
Negotiate licensing terms including rights, pricing, exclusivity, territories, and windows
Manage end-to-end acquisition lifecycle--from pitch evaluation to contract closure
Collaborate with programming, marketing, legal, finance, and product teams
Track content performance post-launch and optimize acquisition decisions accordingly
Maintain strong relationships with content partners and industry stakeholders
Stay updated on OTT market trends, audience behavior, and emerging formats
