Position Description
The ISG Consultant is expected to contribute to the success of ISG consulting engagements whilst seeking opportunities to continue their personal and professional development. He or She demonstrates a motivation to succeed by taking on increasing and varying responsibilities and is expected to manage a small project with little to no assistance. A Consultant should be able to work mostly independently, with limited oversight. It is expected that the Consultant will begin developing detailed knowledge in the focus areas of Cost Optimization and Benchmarking services offered by ISG.

The Role Requirements

• Provides consulting services to clients in the area of ISG\xe2\x80\x99s Cost Optimization and Benchmark services.

• Willing to participate in general management actions in the local office (helping build reporting information for managing partner, helping with internal contracts such as telephony, helping with IP development, case study development, bio repository etc.).

About You Our ideal candidate will need:

• 3-8 years recent relevant experience within professional services
• Demonstrates an understanding of key consulting methodologies and frameworks and has a client-centric mindset.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge with MS-Office suite of software applications and tools, including Microsoft Word, Project, MS-Outlook and particularly strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and applies them within assignments with minimal supervision.
• Adapts and responds well to change, is open to new ideas.
• Developing expertise and confidence to take on specific areas of responsibility on engagements with little oversight.
• Demonstrates a natural ability in data analysis; is able to assimilate large datasets and provide fact-based insights and recommendations.
• Has experience in project management and is able to draft project plans and assist with tracking team activities.

Client Relationship/ Business Development

• Has experience of managing relationships with clients through unsupervised client contact.
• Is able to manage a small project with little to no assistance.
• Developing ability to identify and keep management teams informed of new business opportunities.

Interpersonal Skills

• Demonstrates a superior work ethic; does what is required to meet/exceed client expectations.
• Is well organized and able to manage time and priorities effectively, is able to communicate schedule conflicts to supervision in advance.

• Travel: 25% expected, more could be required

Your Education

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical or scientific field desirable
• MBA/MS or other advanced degree(s) desirable
• ITIL Foundation Qualification desirable
