Role: Postgresql SQL/PLSQL Developer

Location: Mumbai/Hybrid

Number of days working: 5 days

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL SQL/PLSQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in database development with expertise in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures using PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions to meet our business requirements.

Key Responsibilities: * Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into PostgreSQL databases.

• Design and implement efficient database schema designs to support application requirements.
• Write and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and functions using PL/pgSQL for data manipulation and business logic implementation.
• Collaborate with software engineers and business analysts to understand application requirements and translate them into database solutions.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure optimal query performance and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain database documentation including data models, schema designs, and database architecture diagrams.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure continuous availability of data.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in database development and apply them to improve existing processes and solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in database development with a focus on PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and advanced SQL concepts such as subqueries, window functions, and common table expressions.
• Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with PL/pgSQL programming for writing stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques to improve query performance.
• Familiarity with database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, user management, and security configurations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
