The Consultant will support CFMC/CFCFRMS operations by analyzing cyber fraud trends involving banking and fintech products, identifying regulatory and operational gaps, and recommending data-driven improvements. The role involves close coordination with banks, financial institutions, law enforcement agencies, and government stakeholders to strengthen fraud prevention, AML compliance, and system effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze misuse of banking and fintech products involved in cyber frauds.
Study and assess money laundering risks within banking systems.
Identify regulatory gaps and recommend corrective measures.
Conduct trend analysis, data visualization, and analytical reporting.
Suggest enhancements to CFCFRMS based on crime trends and data insights.
Prepare presentations, briefing notes, and inputs for inter-ministerial discussions.
Coordinate with Banks, Financial Institutions, and LEAs.
Monitor performance of Banks/FIs and ensure data quality on NCRP-CFCFRMS.
Assist in resolving day-to-day technical and operational issues on NCRP.
Participate in stakeholder discussions for CFMC expansion and onboarding of new entities.
Skills & Requirements
B.E / B.Tech / MBA / MCA / PG degree from a recognized University/Institution.
Minimum
3 years of experience
in banking and financial systems, fraud risk analysis, policy formulation, and project implementation.
Strong understanding of cyber-enabled and cyber-dependent crimes, AML, and fraud risk governance.
Experience working with Ministries, Government Departments, RBI, Banks, and Financial Institutions.
Knowledge of banking and fintech regulations, compliance frameworks, and corporate banking.
Ability to perform data analysis, trend visualization, and prepare professional presentations.
Relevant certifications such as
, Diploma in Cyber Laws, or cybercrime/fraud management certifications from reputed institutions.
Good communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
